Serena Williams gana el US Open

Su contrincante fue la serbia Jelena Jankovic. Este es su noveno slam obtenido. De todas formas Serena quiere llegar a ganar uno más y llegar a los diez.
El partido se definió en los primeros dos sets por 6 a 4 y 7 a 5. Ahora la ganadora de 26 años se transformó en la número uno del ranking.
En cuartos de final, Serena tuvo el gran duelo y jugó contra su hermana mayor, Venus. El partido fue muy duro y parejo con final feliz para la hermana menor.
Queda por definirse la final de hombres entre Federer y Murray.
