Ruinas Mayas de Copán
Posted by admin on July 16th, 2008 filed in UncategorizedEn Honduras hay un lugar arqueológico llamado Copán donde hay ruinas de una de las ciudades mayas más importantes de su historia.
En la zona se han reconocido 1420 lugares con un total de 4509 edificios. Una de las obras principales es un altar sagrado que representa a los gobernadores de la civilización maya. Según la escritura tallada, que cada vez se decifra más, se puede conocer datos de los gobernadores, tanto épocas como sucesores.
Se estima que Copán llegó a tener unos 20000 habitantes. Las escalinatas de los edificios están casi todas escritas con la técnica del tallado. Las piedras relatan la historia de la ciudad, guerras, conquistas y batallas. Poco a poco se va conociendo más acerca de ella.

I understand most of what I hear and talk some. I love speaking Spanish and the culture, the Latin American culture was what motivated me to start taking Spanish lessons. I plan to travel to Latin America (Antofagasta, Chile, donde vive lo primos de mi novio). I hope to find Spanish tutors there, since I want to speak Spanish perfectly well! I really like the articles you post. They are very helpful, they are not only interesting, but they also help me practice my Spanish. Even though I don’t understand some of what is written, it helps me a lot to see the words that I’ve learned in my Spanish class used in sentences.
