Arrecifes de Bélice

Mide unos 300 kilómetros cuadrados y es el segundo sistema de arrecife de mayor tamaño en el planeta, después de la Gran Barrera de Arrecifes de Australia.
Para Bélice los corales sirven de gran atracción turística, trayendo a miles de turistas por año. Ademas es una zona muy pesquera.
En los arrecifes habitan muchas especies de coral, peces e invertebrados. Se cree que solo se ha explorado el 10 por ciento de toda la barrera.
Por motivo de su preservación y cuidado la UNESCO lo ha declaro Patrimonio de la Humanidad.

Even though I don’t understand some of what is written, it helps me a lot to see the words that I’ve learned in my Spanish class used in sentences.
